Herbal Clean – How to Detox
Have
you ever wanted to detox fast? Did you know that most detox products are made
of sugar water?
With
over 25 years of experience in making a detox product that works, Herbal Clean
has become the number one trusted brand, because our unique blend of quality
herbs and minerals work to cleanse your body the very same day.
Often
our bodies are exposed to toxins, intentionally or unintentionally. These
toxins can sometimes be stored in our cells and soft tissues for long periods
of time.
Your
body will naturally detoxify. This could take up to 30 days for many toxins,
but with Herbal Clean, it makes it easier to be clean the very same day with
just three easy steps.
First,
give the bottle a good shake, then drink the whole bottle, then take the
bottle, refill it with water, and drink the whole bottle again. After a couple
of trips to the bathroom, you're on your way.
Still
not convinced? Wondering how all this works? For centuries herbs and minerals
have been used to cleanse and detox the body.
Each
herb and mineral works specifically to target organs in the body where toxins
hide. Milk thistle and turmeric root help to remove the toxins from the liver.
Burdock root and juniper berry act as a diuretic, helping to ensure that toxins
leave the body through the urinary tract.
Dandelion
root acts as a jumpstart for the body's natural detoxification process. It
helps to remove toxins from the liver, kidneys and urinary tract.
Herbal
Clean also replenishes your body with the essential minerals needed to bring
your body back into balance the very same day.
Detoxify
with Herbal Clean, because it works.

The Power of Tumeric Root
For
an effective whole-body detox, it's important to seek out ingredients that have stood the test of time, rather than
following each new trend that appears only to learn later that you've been
misled. There are few detoxifying herbs more time tested than turmeric root.
You
may know it for its bright yellow-orange color or for the hint of nutty
bitterness that it brings to curry, but turmeric has been used medicinally for
nearly five thousand years. Turmeric's benefits have long been
recognized in ancient Greece, in India, and by indigenous tribes in Hawaii. It
is said to stimulate the circulatory system while fighting inflammation, and
has been used to treat many different maladies. These include sinus infections,
indigestion, eczema, and even osteoarthritis.
As
it turns out, those historical claims were not entirely superstition. Recent
research has found many points of agreement with the ancient wisdom concerning
turmeric, and has even found potential cancer-fighting properties in the plant.
Though scientists have been able to isolate a compound called curcumin, the
active ingredient in fresh turmeric, it isn't yet widely available to the
public in a standardized, thoroughly tested form. Until it is, what can you do?
Adding
turmeric to your diet is one way to take advantage of this powerful cleansing
substance. Unfortunately, there's no way for you to assess the purity or
effectiveness of your spice jar's contents. If the batch that you purchase has
been sitting in the grocery store for too long or comes from a less reputable
distributor, it may contain little or no curcumin. You'll be left with a
yellowish powder no more effective than chalk.
Avoid
the uncertainty: get your turmeric in a precisely designed blend, optimally
paired with a select array of other natural ingredients for maximum detoxifying power.

Exploring Luteolin
Author
Rita Mae Brown once wrote that “The reward for
conformity is that everyone likes you except yourself.” When it comes to
nutrition, self care, and choosing ingredients for your detox, conformity can also
bring nausea, vomiting, and endocrine abnormalities.
That's
the case with some who have followed the crowd to the ingredient luteolin. Luteolin, the side
effects of which include those listed above, had its fifteen minutes of fame as
research into similar flavonoids showed promise due to their antioxidant
activity.
Sounds
good, right? Not so fast. Dr. Steven Nordeen, a pathologist and cancer
researcher at the University of Colorado, warns that “flavonoids are active and
not always in good or even predictable ways. We shouldn't be taking this stuff
blindly,” Dr. Nordeen says, “because, just like prescription medicines, there
can be unanticipated consequences.”
The
comparison to prescription medicines is an apt one. Though most doctors are now
aware of dangerous supplement interactions like that of Vitamin K with the
anticoagulant Warfarin or St. John's Wort with some antidepressants, luteolin's
sudden popularity leaves health care providers with little information.
Hospital
databases intended to prevent medication interactions generally don't include
herbal or other supplements, and not enough is yet known about luteolin's mode
of action for reasonable guesses to be made. The true extent of the risk likely
won't be known for years—only after enough luteolin users present with similar
symptoms for a pattern to be detected.
By
then, for some, it may be too late. The use of trendy but untested detox
formulas isn't worth the risk of long term health problems. Do yourself a favor
and commit to only using proven products that have been tested by time and by
satisfied customers. No matter what the crowd is doing,it's up to you to take a stand for your well being.

Eleuthero: Is it Really Safe?
When
it comes to detox products, it may seem
difficult to assess the pros and cons. Which ingredients are safe? Which are
effective? At what point do potential side effects outweigh the supposed benefits?
In
some cases, the evidence of risk is so distinct that it's hard to imagine why
anyone would subject their body to such danger in search of unproven gain. One
such ingredient is eleuthero, sometimes known as Siberian ginseng.
Available
in the United States as an unregulated Chinese import since 1976, eleuthero
falls into a gray area between food and medicine. It isn't held to
Environmental Protection Agency's guidelines that limit pesticide
residue—private research found that 12 out of 22 eleuthero products contained
toxic fungicides, and yet it's still on the market. It doesn't undergo United
States Department of Agriculture inspection for pathogens such as E. coli and
salmonella, a standard to which even fast food hamburgers are subjected.
Importers of eleuthero don't even have to prove its safety or effectiveness to
the Federal Drug Administration.
Eleuthero
plants are not commonly grown in the United States. Instead, they are foraged
in rural areas of Asia, where the plain green leaves and white blooms cause it
to be frequently confused with similar species—some poisonous, others merely
unidentified—and then shipped halfway around the world to consumers who have no
way of knowing what exactly is in the product.
Even
if a product labeled eleuthero is indeed pure eleuthero, beware! The Penn State
Milton S. Hershey Medical Center warns of side effects that include irregular
heart beat, confusion, high blood pressure, and vomiting. Eleuthero can also
interact dangerously with common medications such as anticoagulants, prednisone,
lithium, and most diabetes medications.
Why
take the risk? Stick with detox products thathave been carefully developed using only the highest quality herbs.
