Your Essential Detox Ingredient

When you need to detox it can be overwhelming with all the different juicing combos, all the herbs and vitamins to read up on and the testimonials. But before you get too carried away with your next detox treatment, it is important to identify the most important detox ingredient in your arsenal:  water.


Perhaps nothing in our world is quite so important to us as water.  It covers most of our earth-space and everything on Earth needs it.   Water isn’t just a good idea – it’s an essential part of your routine for any cleanse.  As your body is composed of at least 60% water, maintaining the balance of your bodily fluids is primarily done through drinking water.  
That balance is important to the cleansing process Water controls everything in the body from the internal temperature to the circulation, transportation of nutrients and digestion.  Every critical function in our body relies on water.  Even skin improvement is primarily the result of having proper hydration to function as a protective barrier to prevent fluid loss.


Yes, you need water to replenish fluids lost through sweat.  But water can actually help control calories – not by any magical process, but because water-rich foods are healthier and more filling (think of those fruits and veggies).  Water also helps energize the muscle cells.  A lack of water will cause muscle fatigue to happen faster, meaning your performance suffers.

You can get plenty of water not just by drinking it, but by taking in more fruits and veggies.  A good 20% of our fluid intake actually comes from foods, so make those foods count.  Go ahead and knock yourself out with juicing and supplements!  But don’t forget how great a glass of water is as your most essential detox ingredient.
